Early Summer 2012

Wow, have I really NOT posted anything on here for 2 months?? LOL, it’s been so hectic for us lately, Khloe’ LOVES to be outside as much as possible, so most nights we all go for a walk and take Maxx as well. Most nights Khloe’ insists on holding his leash. This is not always a good idea as Maxx still has not realized “He is NOT walking us, WE are WALKING him, HAHA…so when this happens Khloe’ yells at Maxx and says (in her 2yr old speak) “Mattie (Maxie), NO PULL KOE (Khloe), HEY, NO PULL KOE” She says it with conviction and control, it has me tickled every time.

We have been working on Potty training for the past couple of months with her. Of course lot’s of praise and clapping when she does decide she will sit on the potty, even a bribe of an M&M has worked but I think is slowly loosing it’s WOW factor with her. Whenever Paul & I should be using the bathroom (of course never alone, as you other Mom’s out there know) she will raise her hands and clap and cheer for us saying “GOOD JOB MOMMY, PEE-PEE ON THE POTTY, YEAH…MOMMY PEE-PEE ON THE POTTY” Clearly she is missing the point that SHE should be the one to Pee-Pee on the potty, (sigh) oh well, we of course will continue to work on this! 

Ok, one more quick funny story. One night Paul wasn’t feeling too well so he decided he was going to have some soup (Clam Chowder) for dinner. We have never had her try this particular soup before as it may be an acquired taste for even some adults (mommy included) so of course in typical Khloe’ style she wanted a bite. I didn’t think she would like it but of course she insisted on trying it. Paul had sprinkled some Hot sauce in it to jazz it up and tried to warn her it may be spicy. She sipped a little from his spoon and turn to me face crinkled up, head cocked to one side and says “ MMMM, IT NOT PICY MOMMY, IT GUD….KOE YIKE IT” I couldn’t help but laugh, she definitely knows what she likes and doesn’t like!!  Now everything is either "picy" or "too hot"!  She's such a little ham...

The below photos are a few random pics we have taken over the past couple of months.  Some are with her cousins in Indianapolis & new baby Miles!!! What a precious new addition to the family!  We fell in love with him instantly!! :)  As you can see mostly all out doors. Enjoy! I will try to do better at updating the blog this summer, but I can’t promise as Khloe’ also is LOVING any pool time we can squeeze in.

Easter Fun

HAPPY EASTER everyone! We have all been soooo busy the last couple of months since the weather has been nice with nightly walks around the neighborhood, trips to the park every day we were off. Khloe' is obsessed w/the swings. She has a terrible melt down when we have to leave the swings or get off to allow another child to swing...definitely terrible 2 behavior. She goes for a walk every night w/Paul & Maxx and stops to pick flowers or leaves from the bushes or a few times Paul has taken one of the soccer balls we got her for Christmas and they have kicked it all up and down the sidewalks as they walked. I could hear the loud squealing as Khloe' would be running and saying "Get-it Daddy, Get-it Daddy" from the house. She is sooo much fun & we are enjoying this stage sooo much! She is learning so many different words and phrases it amazes me everyday!

The below pics are a few from this awesome Easter party we were invited to w/our neighbor Dana and her girls (Caylee & Emily, aka "Emi-Cayle" by Khloe') It was at a friend of Dana's who has 10 acres of land, 4 horses, 2 cats, a hound dog, playset, and more toys than any kid could ever dream of! They planned Easter egg coloring table, hid over 100 Easter eggs, had prizes for all the kids, let the kids throw all the boiled eggs that weren't colored at a HUGE old tree trunk to see how many could tag the tree, egg toss & more candy and food than you could ever imagine. Needless to say Khloe' had a blast (so did Paul & I)

I can't believe our little peanut will actually be turning 2 on Thursday....time truly does fly. It seems like yesterday we were released from the hospital and allowed to drive home w/our new daughter who's life was completely in our hands, thinking "What in the world are we going to do? I have no clue how to be a mom"

She has survived 2 years in our hands and besides a few scratches, dog bites & swing accident at the park, she is doing good. She is a wonderful happy and energetic sweet toddler!

Valentine's Day fun & Khloe's 1st Circus!!

This Valentine's Day was soooo much fun! We baked & decorated sugar cookies w/strawberry icing along w/strawberry cupcakes toped w/strawberry icing...YUMMY! Maybe this will be the new Daddy-n-Daughter tradition for years to come! It was a lot of fun to do and watch as our Khloe' girl tried to sneak as many M&M's in her mouth as she could. She would throw some sprinkles and place a few M&M's on the top of the cupcakes then she's put 2 or 3 candies in her mouth and smile sheepishly! Too funny!

This past month Khloe' has gone to 3 different kid's Birthday parties! One party was at "Monkey Joe's" an indoor blow-up jumpy play place...SHE HAD A BLAST! The 2nd Birthday party was at Gymboree...very cool interactive adult/kids party! The 3rd was for our neighbor Caylee, who tuned 9. She had invited about 10 of her friends over to their house for a dance party themed event w/a kareokee machine and disco ball w/strobe lights and all!!! I thought Khloe' would be way too young for this party but she was actually the hit of the party w/her sparkle Minnie Mouse dress and wild dance moves! HA HA! All the little girls wanted to know if the sparkly Minnie Mouse dress came in their sizes! I laughed so hard and was so proud that she was able to fit in and have fun with the older girls!


We got tickets to the Barnum & Bailey Circus and got some great pics of Khloe' just in awe & mesmerized by all the animals, lights, songs, & tall man on stilts! She really had a blast!

This past 6 weeks or so have been so much fun doing all the new things with our growing peanut! Oh, one other thing she has been awarded the Potty Star award in her class as she is regularly pee-peeing on the potty at school & very often at home too! We have stolen the idea of rewarding her with an M&M each time she potty in the potty! She screams and raises her arms each time she gets her M&M....the sweet tooth monster has arrived!
