Well the big day has come, Khloe' has officially turned 1! We had a great time at her 1st Birthday party on Saturday the 9th. Granna June, Poppy Vaughters & Grandma Vaughters, and her 2nd cousin Paul Oak were our family members all in attendance as well as about 20 adults and 11 kids...WOW it seemed like a madhouse to Paul and myself & Granna too! Granna was AMAZING w/ all the help cleaning and prepping for the big event, we couldn't have done it without you Ma...THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! Khloe' made out like a bandit with some really wonderful presents, books, toys, and many clothes! It was so nice to see many of our friends and family we hadn't seen in a very long time...I believe cousin Paul drove the furthest (Canada) to come to the party. All the kids seemed to have such a great time! We had some outside activities for all the kids such as a water balloon toss competition, bubbles, & water gun fights. Khloe' was so adorable to watch eating her first piece of cake and icing. She looked at her little smoosh cake in front of her...cautiously looked at me and Paul as if to say "Are you sure I can have this?" then she stuck one little finger in the icing and tested it, 1 more sample, and then she went to town! Too cute! My mom was getting nervous about her eating so much icing/cake and after about 10 min removed it from her tray...she was covered with icing, nose, cheeks and even some in her eyes, How does that happen? :) Ok now for what you all have really wanted to see...some new pictures! Most of these are from her actual party and a few are from us outside on the deck enjoying a beautiful sunny afternoon & some of her in her new kiddie pool. By the way, she LOVED being in her new pool! I'm so glad my mom was here to see her first time ever being in a pool. Of course, we were both on edge but she loved it!
Oh, also I forgot to mention we have enrolled Khloe' in swimming lessons at this great aquatics center by the house, her first lesson was Monday 4/11 and she will go twice a week (Mon & Wed) for the next 4 weeks. Khloe' of course LOVED being in this pool as well. It's a "Parent assist class which means Paul or I HAVE to be in the pool with her (Good, we didn't want her to go in with out us right there anyways) She was laughing and creaming when the teacher told the parents to have the kids kick their feet in the water...she was truly the loudest laughing baby in the pool area!
