Summer Fun days!

Well it seems like this summer has really flown by, we have been having soooo much fun outdoors even as hot as it has been for everyone. We have discovered our local community pool is actually really fun for all of us. They have very kid appropriate slides and sprinkle arches, and water falls, etc. It's the same place we took Khloe' to for her swim lessons back in April. I didn't realize how great it would be for Khloe' until about 3 weeks ago. Paul was off one Tuesday (when it was one of those 95+ degree days and had decided he wanted to take her to the pool, the plan was for me to meet them there but for one reason or another I didn't end up making it there. Khloe' LOVES slides of all kinds and when Paul realized he wasn't allowed to go down them with her it was impossible to let her go down and have no one at the bottom to catch her....she was NOT happy to say the least. So that weekend we all went and she ABSOLUTELY LOVED it! It was sooo much fun to watch her belly laughing as she came down the slide each and every time! I think she must have gone down the two different kiddy slides at least 20-30 times each. Definitely the highlight of our weekends now! We went again today and it never seems to get old to her. Here are a few of her and Paul outside riding on her "lion car" (she loves anything to do with being outside). There are also some of her at the pool on a couple different times, and a few other random ones over the past month. Enjoy everyone!

Ok, this is hilarious...one Sunday while I was folding laundry Paul started vacuuming...she LOVES the vacuum, and is getting too heavy to hold the whole time so Paul decided to strap her in this baby Bjorn (which we haven't used in over a year...clearly she is quite content, with pink puppy and all!! We laughed so hard at this one!!

This is her new suit/life jacket combo. The bottom of the bikini snaps onto the life jacket and all matches. It's really cute on her!

Clearly not happy with Daddy that she couldn't go down the slides...I felt so bad I was not there!

Playing outside on her "Lion Car" which by the way is really supposed to be a push and walk behind toy to teach them to walk....I guess we know what we will need to buy here soon...some sort of a ride on top car, jeep or wagon thing!

She is having a BLAST!!! I think daddy is too!

Our new daily routine, she loves her books she has been given. Look at how intently she is paying attention! She will continuously bring us one book after another after another until we have read each one about 3-4 times! There is one that is of baby dinosaur's, another with baby farm animals, and jungle babies. She has mastered the baby sheep sound, the baby monkey (hands in the armpits) baby cow, baby pig...she is LOVING the noises we have to make with each one too!

Some new pajamas...no feet. It's just too hot to put her in the other ones...these are adorable I think! Oh btw take a good look at this face, this is the face of a soon to be terrible 2's coming a little too early girlfriend!

Ok, before anyone starts to judge me for being a bad Mom.....I had to share these with you guys. So, everyone knows how she LOVES to share all her food, snacks, etc with anyone who is around. Her new favorite snack is an all fruit, no sugar added popsicle....just look at what is happening in these pictures....I'm warning you these are not for the weak stomachs...

Oh yes she did just share her popsicle with Maxx....look how happy she is to have done this too....Seeing this was like watching a train wreck happen, you want to stop it but can't, and definitely can't stop watching it either...LOL .... hey what are you gonna do!
Ever since she realized Maxx ate too much of her popsicle she doesn't share with him anymore...at least not her popsicles she loves those too much!

July 4th with Granna & Papaw Terry

Well the July 4th weekend was a wonderful weekend for us! Granna & Papaw Terry came to visit on Friday night and stayed until Tuesday morning, which was great to have so much time to enjoy each other. We watched the fireworks at downtown Norcross and Khloe' kept pointing at them the whole time and shaking her wrist as she pointed, we got such a kick out of this. Granna brought some great new toys for Khloe bear, a really cool frig magnet with lots of mix-n match animals that sings songs....Khloe' loves to sing and dance to this while she insists on pulling each magnet off and throwing on the kitchen floor! There was also a crazy legged lady bug looking toy that sings so many different songs, this last week she has played with this toy every day after school. Her face just lights up when the songs come on. She instantly stands up straight and starts dancing around with both hands in the air! It's so HILARIOUS to watch! Thanks Granna...we love our new toys!

Khloe' has started to really like her sunglasses. She pats her head and points to her glasses when she wants us to put them on her. When we put 'em on her we start saying "Hollywood, Oh Hollywood, come here" She starts laughing pretty hard. Little does she know that's actually a part of one of my favorite phrases from an all time fav. movie- "Mannequin" (sp?) ....The very flamboyant (sp?) guy is talking about doughnuts and says..."they just call to me in the middle of the night, Hollywood, Oh Hollywood come here"....LOL, I LOVE THAT PART!!! Trip to St. Augustine FL

Well, I know it has been awhile since we have posted and I apologize for that, I guess life just gets in the way & eats up all of our free time as you all know! The most important news is OUR LITTLE PEANUT IS WALKING NOW! We are soooo proud of her, she is doing so well w/her new skill of walking, and has even begun to chase Maxx around a little bit....he of course hates this but we all have a good time laughing w/Khloe when she tries to catch him. She is such a sweet girl, she loves to share her snacks w/Maxx...Graham crackers, goldfish, grapes, whatever it is, she laughs each and every time Maxx eats a snack from her hand, it really is too precious to watch! I am so torn between telling her "No" as we don't want Maxx to eat people food but yet still want to encourage her giving & sharing spirit! For now Maxx is winning this battle :)

She is getting to be so long and has really started to thin out some, I know it's nothing to worry about, a chubby baby is a healthy baby but when she is catching up in weight with her cousin Cole who is almost 2 yrs older than her, one has to be a little alarmed. When we were in Charleston w/ April & Chad & Cole she weighed 22 lbs, and Cole weighed 27 lbs...YIKES. Hopefully from the photos you guys can see how she is changing!

Oh, one funny thing I want to share. Every night at bath time, I strip Khloe down to nothing but her diaper while Paul is getting the bath water started. The last few nights I have turned my head for a second to throw her dirty clothes in the hamper and she is GONE! She runs and hides in our bedroom, on the other side of the house and laughs the whole time as we are calling her name...she's smart she knows it's bath time and doesn't want the playing time to end....how can you get mad at her?....it's HILARIOUS! When we finally catch her she just laughs and smiles like...Ha Ha I almost got away! She is such a wonderful sweet baby, I guess we've been saying that all along huh?

Ok, guys, I have added a few pics from our visit to Poppy & Grandma Linda's over Memorial Day weekend in St. Augustine, also Brock was in town for a night and have added a couple w/ her & Uncle Brock, and a few other random ones. Don't know if you can see her huge crocodile tears as we were leaving Poppy & Grandma's she got really upset. I think her and Grandma Linda became fast buddies!

This is Khloe's new beloved Teddy Bear Grandma Linda bought her while we were in FL. Funny story: I was pushing her around in her little umbrella stroller in the gift shop and I looked down and she had pulled this teddy bear off the shelf and was hugging him...Linda had to buy it for her! Ever since then she drags him around everywhere!
